Names of Trees in East Slavic Charms

The paper deals with the Proto-Slavic two-part personal names reconstructed in Etymological Dictionary of Slavic Languages (EDSL), vols. 1–42. Indo-European by their origin, these retained use among all Slavs even after adoption Christianity and assimilation Christian name set. author examines set lexical units that occur proto-Slavic anthroponyms, rules design (pure basis, truncated word form) connection one another (the presence or absence a connector). It is shown first second parts compound have different properties: element can be represented verbal, substantive, adjective bases, pronominal adverbs, prepositions / prefixes, while — only bases. Most certainly, EDSL does not claim to incorporate binominal anthroponyms this type language but provides clear idea on anthroponymic wordbuilding patterns compounds language, as well syntactic semantic features.
